Every public call and type in psych_runtime, generated from the module itself.

This is the documentation for unreleased changes on main. For the released library, read v0.1.

psych_runtime is the whole public surface. Anything reached through a submodule path is internal and moves without ceremony while the package is 0.x.

Almost none of these pages is written by hand. scripts/generate_docs.py reads signatures, kinds, docstrings and model fields out of the live module, and the build fails when what is committed differs from what the code says. A thin docstring therefore produces a thin page, which is honest: the fix is a better docstring, which is also the fix for the reader who found the symbol in their editor instead.

  • The public API: the document with the worked example the test suite executes. Start here.
  • Calls: the functions a consumer calls. The whole verb surface.
  • Spec models: what an agent or workflow is, as data. None of these holds a callable.
  • Runtime: what you construct and run, including Runtime, Worker and ToolRegistry.
  • Ports: the interfaces you implement, and the adapters that ship for each.
  • Reading a Run: the report, status, answer and thread projections, and every type they return.
  • Errors: every exception the library raises, and what each one means about your code.
